Qualitas of Life Foundation, New York, New York, us, 10261
Family Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator
Qualitas of Life Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial education and empowerment to Hispanic families. In partnership with Mercy Center and NYC Kids RISE, we support families through the Save for College Program, helping them establish a strong financial foundation and develop long‑term savings habits for their children’s education.
Position Overview We are seeking a Family Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator to support families through program navigation and enrollment in the NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program. The role blends community outreach, workshop facilitation, data accuracy, and partner coordination (schools, Mercy Center, Qualitas of Life Foundation, and banking partners). The Coordinator will build trust with families, clarify the three Building Blocks (BB1–BB3), and ensure accurate, timely follow‑up—translating training into day‑to‑day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Eligibility & Intake: Classify families reached via events; reconcile paper forms and databases; verify basic eligibility (e.g., SSN/ITIN, student grade).
Outreach Cadence: Conduct phone/text/WhatsApp outreach; document outcomes; close non‑responsive cases; schedule and confirm appointments.
Tablings & Events: Plan and staff tablings; transport materials; set up/break down; engage parents and capture accurate data; debrief and update outreach tactics.
Workshops & Materials: Design workshop content in Canva; align with Mercy Center and Qualitas of Life Foundation priorities; integrate Kids RISE messaging; create flyers and registration forms.
Pitch Practice: Regularly practice and shadow teammates to ensure clear, digestible explanations of Building Blocks 1–3 and reduce confusion.
Data & Reporting: Maintain records in Google Sheets and Salesforce; submit post‑event/call logs; contribute to monthly reports.
Bank Coordination: Accompany parents (without speaking on their behalf); follow the agreed‑upon Service Level Agreement (SLA) for email responses; use a pre‑appointment checklist and escalation path when necessary.
Privacy & Compliance: Handle PII (Personally Identifiable Information) securely; obtain consent; use private spaces for sensitive calls.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Program Manager, Mercy Center family workers, school parent coordinators, and Kids RISE staff to align calendars and goals.
Hands‑on training in Salesforce intakes, community outreach best practices, and pitch coaching will be provided.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in community outreach/enrollment; comfort with high‑volume phone/text/WhatsApp communication.
Bilingual English/Spanish (oral and written), including professional email writing.
Event logistics and public speaking; ability to lift materials (up to 25–30 lb).
Canva (workshop decks, flyers) and Google Workspace; Salesforce a plus (or willingness to learn).
Cultural humility, trauma‑informed communication, and patience for persuasive, trust‑based work.
Knowledge of NYC schools/community landscape; DOE/vendor clearance may be required.
Experience in financial counselling or group financial literacy workshops is desirable.
Salesforce experience is desirable.
Schedule Full‑time on‑site. Some evenings/weekends for workshops/tablings; local travel across the Bronx, specifically district 7.
