Hours are Monday‑Friday between 6:30 am‑5:45 pm. Float Pool Patient Access Representatives offer supplemental support to various departments based on needs. You’ll be exposed to multiple patient‑centered practices that include family medicine as well as specialty clinics.

As a Patient Access Representative, your primary responsibility will be providing extraordinary customer service to patients with every interaction. Being the first point of contact, you will have the opportunity to create a welcoming and safe environment, either on the phone or in the clinic.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and verify demographics
Create, scan and route documents or electronic forms
Inform patients about the document and capture signatures on necessary paperwork
Establish and assign financial responsibility and assist with arrangements while adhering to policies and procedures
Collect co‑payments, pre‑payments and payments on account balances
Work through the registration work queue to address and resolve registration errors or denied insurance claims
Work with nursing team and providers to coordinate and schedule appointments to meet patient needs
Coordinate provider schedule
Obtain and coordinate referrals and conduct pre‑authorization
Arrange interpreter services
Check patients in and out
Operate multi‑line phone
Resolve work queue issues, manage recall and waitlists, and serve as switchboard operator calling codes and paging providers
Preparation and coordination of charts
Organize supporting provider documents
Initiate and collaborate on patient financial assistance
Track patient visits and health information management on patient accounts
Compile, distribute, administer, and score assessments
Coordinate Telemed appointments
Make reminder calls for appointments
Handle hospital admission and office duties such as copies or faxes
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post‑secondary education helpful
One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
Medical terminology knowledge helpful; customer service skills essential
Six months’ customer service experience desired
May require BLS for certain locations or settings
