Microbiologist I
to provide support for our government customer in San Juan, PR.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance of cell cultures.
Assisting in the design and implementation of assays.
Adhering to quality control plans.
Contributing to testing and refinement of laboratory protocols.
Managing laboratory supplies.
Maintaining laboratory equipment.
Preparing summary reports.
Complying with applicable CLIA, CDC, and federal safety requirements.
Maintaining daily documentation under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Providing required vaccination documentation for laboratory entry.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS BA/BS or MS in Biology, Microbiology, or related discipline.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience preforming testing of clinical and non-clinical specimens.
Experience following laboratory procedures.
Experience documenting results in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE
Must be U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to pass a CDC background investigation.
