Registered Nurse (RN)- Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services Outpatient Clinic- Full Time- Days

Registered Nurse
The Registered Professional Nurse in CARS is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients, in a fast paced multi-faceted department. These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.
Completes physical & mental health assessments (VS, risk assessments, withdrawal assessment (COWS) as indicated by Part 820 regulations)
Administers and monitors treatment regimens
Administers prescribed medications
Observes and reports behavioral changes
Maintains control of drugs and medications
Triage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with the Nursing Staff, PA, NP, Medical Director and outside providers.
Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting
Direct care provided by licensed practical nurses
Respects cultural and religious practices of patients
Ensure OASAS/Medicaid regulatory compliance, Collaborates with Director of Nursing, Direct Care Staff, Counselors, Clinical Directors, other Department Managers and Compliance Manager in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities
Required Skills and Experience:
Associates Degree in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing
BLS Certification
Successful completion of CPI training within 3 months of hire
Successful completion of medication competency exam
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Graduate of an Accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
Physical Requirements:
Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.
Location and Travel Requirements:
Onsite- 6 Euclid Ave, Cortland, NY 13045
Shift: Five 8hr shifts 7am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed
Less than 25% Travel to Ithaca NY location when needed
Pay Range Disclosure:
$35.63 to $40.00 per hour with benefits
