Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and physical structures within the facility. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and 5S programs.
Commission and decommission equipment as required.
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Support equipment and machinery upgrades.
Use test equipment to detect malfunctions and collaborate with operators to diagnose and repair issues.
Maintain and repair piping, machining, presses, furnaces, welding and fabrication equipment, and other facility systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
Troubleshoot and update PLC systems.
Maintain and repair ABB robots.
Operate forklifts, manlifts, and cranes.
Perform stick and wire welding, and use cutting torches.
Operate manual mills, lathes, and other shop equipment.
Demonstrate punctuality, self‑motivation, and flexibility in performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Authorized to shut down any process where safety is a concern.
Collaborate with management on equipment shutdowns for repairs.
Essential Skills
Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
Ability to apply common sense and follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
Problem‑solving skills in standardized situations with multiple variables.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
Effective communication of status and needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Maintenance certification and/or 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, or a two‑year technical certification/degree with at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
Preferred qualifications include PLC programming experience, experience repairing CNC equipment, and experience troubleshooting heat‑treating furnaces.

Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment that is non‑climate controlled. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock is possible.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $25.00/hr.
