Tractor Trailer Mechanic - 1st shift M-F Join G&D Integrated as a Tractor Trailer Mechanic working 1st shift Monday to Friday. You will perform routine maintenance on the company’s diesel fleet, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Base Pay Range $18.00/hr – $25.00/hr (based on experience)

Primary Job Duties

Diagnosis, replacement, and repair of diesel engine external and internal components

Repair of diesel engine external drive train components and systems

Electrical systems, starting, and charging components

Diesel engine air intake and exhaust system

Air brake system and components

Vehicle HVAC and associated components

Vehicle air and spring suspension component systems

Vehicle steering components and systems

Transmissions and clutches

Qualifications

1+ year of experience working on automotive/fleet equipment, preferably Freightliners

Must provide basic hand tools; larger tools are company‑provided

Basic computer skills required

Must be able to read and write English

FHWA certification preferred; training and payment provided

Physical Requirements

Regularly stand and handle material up to 70 lbs.; reach for items in tight locations

Occasionally talk and hear, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Work environment: outdoor and indoor shop with adequate ventilation and heat

Regularly near moving mechanical parts with some vibration and loud noise

Occasionally work in non‑weather wet or humid conditions, in extreme heat or cold, in high or precarious places with fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions may occur

Job Details Location: 50 Commerce Drive, Morton, IL 61550 Shift: 1st 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay Range: $18–25/hr depending on experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; company‑paid life insurance; paid time off; and other programs.
