Job Title:
Licensed Teacher. Pay Grade: Licensed Compensation System. FLSA Status: Exempt.
SUMMARY:
Plan instruction aligned with district and state standards. Supervise students and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach adopted curricula for assigned grades and subjects, modifying as necessary.
Develop lesson plans and instruct using materials and media.
Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning and report results.
Model character education including citizenship and conflict resolution.
Implement IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior support plans, attending meetings as requested.
Provide safety instruction for hazardous activities.
Maintain a positive learning environment free from disruptive behavior.
Maintain relationships with families and the school community.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Assure safety and welfare of students.
Demonstrate prompt attendance.
Submit required reports promptly.
Protect School District property.
Report suspected child abuse or neglect.
Use District’s internet and E‑mail system as specified.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related subject from an accredited university.
EXPERIENCE Experience preferred but may not be necessary.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS Colorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsements; pass PLACE or PRAXIS II; meet CDE and ESSA requirements for In‑Field Teacher.
