About the Position Develop a supportive relationship with clients and assist children and families in addressing needs and meeting goals with the overall objective of achieving solutions that promote stability and permanency.
A Typical Day as a Community Outreach Worker
Support children, teens, adults, and families that are experiencing crisis
Offer families a variety of tools to help in their success by using a trauma-responsive and family-centered approach
Collaborate with clients to develop strength's based goals
Engage with families and clients by visiting them in a variety of settings to support their goals
Location 603 N. Center Street Bloomington, IL with willingness to travel and spend several hours in the field visiting client's homes, communities, and attending court. This office provides services to the following counties: Champaign, Ford, and Iroquois
Work Hours Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served
Does the Following Apply to You?
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Service, or related field
Additional Qualifications
Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
Must be at least 21 years of age
Obtain an insured vehicle
At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
