Shift / Hours
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Central Time)
  • Flexibility required for weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and multi-site coverage

Position Overview
The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, delivering high-quality blood collection and specimen preparation services. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, professionalism, and patient trust while supporting both clinical and forensic specimen collection across multiple locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection safely and accurately, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established policies and procedures.
  • Verify patient demographics and specimen labeling, including obtaining patient signatures post-collection.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment.
  • Travel between Patient Service Centers and in-office locations with minimal notice as business needs dictate.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus, adaptability, and organizational commitment.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience (required), including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable)
  • Keyboarding and data entry proficiency

Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
  • 2+ years experience in a Patient Service Center environment
  • Customer service experience in retail or service settings

Licensure & Certification
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Certification required in CA, NV, and WA (not required for Minnesota)

Work Environment
  • Patient Service Centers, physician offices, and mobile assignments
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
  • High-volume environment with multiple competing priorities
