Job Title: Phlebotomist
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves performing venipuncture and capillary blood collection while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using approved techniques and universal precautions.
Verify patient identity and match specimens to requisitions in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policy.
Label, process, and transport specimens according to laboratory standards and regulatory requirements.
follow OSHA and infection control protocols.
Document all collections accurately in the electronic health record.
Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques.
Strong customer service skills.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
High school diploma or GED.
This position requires working onsite at the clinic located on the Westside. The role offers opportunities for growth and professional development within a large medical group. A comprehensive training program lasting 3-5 months is provided for entry-level support.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Barbara, CA.
