IT HP/HPE Hardware Technician Job at KCI, Inc. in Twinsburg

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Per Diem IT Hardware Technician to provide on-site hardware support for enterprise server environments in and around the Twinsburg, OH area. Would consider anyone with in a 90 mile radius. This role is ideal for a technician with a flexible schedule who is comfortable traveling locally and working independently while coordinating with remote technical support teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair server hardware issues on-site.
• Perform hardware repairs and component replacements with guidance from remote technical support when required.
• Support HPE servers and related hardware, with exposure to additional manufacturers a plus.
• Travel to customer locations within the Twinsburg, OH area for service calls.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding issues, progress, and resolutions.
• Complete service calls efficiently and professionally.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Proven hands-on experience with HP/HPE server hardware (or similar enterprise-class equipment).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in customer environments.
• Flexible availability to accept service calls as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HP/HPE certifications are a strong plus.
• Experience supporting servers from other manufacturers, including:

  • Cisco
  • F5
  • Oracle / Sun
  • Fujitsu
  • Supermicro

Additional Details:

• Compensation is per call with the possibility of a monthly stipend.
• Local travel is required; candidates should be based near or able to commute within the Twinsburg, OH area.
• Flexible schedule with work assigned on an as-needed basis.
