We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join a company in the construction industry. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily human resources operations for a diverse and multi-location workforce. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations with accuracy and confidentiality.


Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the onboarding process, including I-9 verification, benefits enrollment, and employee orientation.

• Maintain accurate employee records across HR systems and ensure compliance with employment laws.

• Administer benefits programs, coordinate life event changes, and liaise with brokers and vendors.

• Lead open enrollment efforts by managing communications, verifying dependent details, and tracking enrollment progress.

• Address employee relations matters, including policy questions, attendance issues, and corrective actions.

• Process employee status changes, payroll adjustments, and terminations in collaboration with payroll.

• Support HR communications and contribute to cross-functional projects to enhance organizational efficiency and employee satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

• Proficiency in HRIS platforms and benefits administration processes.

• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including I-9/E-Verify and multi-state leave policies.

• Advanced skills in Excel and data management across multiple systems.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail in managing high-volume workflows.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

• Capability to analyze HR data, resolve system issues, and recommend process improvements.

• Experience in construction industry is preferred
