About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions for a growing, multi-state organization. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of employment laws across multiple states, excels in creating and implementing HR policies and employee handbooks, and has hands-on experience using Rippling.com for HRIS, payroll, and benefits management.
This role will manage the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding—while fostering a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Administration & Compliance
- Oversee HR operations across multiple states ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Develop, maintain, and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
- Manage HR records and ensure data integrity within the Rippling platform.
- Stay current on employment regulations and proactively implement compliance updates.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Post job openings across multiple platforms and manage the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and write job descriptions.
- Conduct interviews, background checks, and employment verifications.
- Implement strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent.
3. Onboarding & Offboarding
- Oversee smooth onboarding processes including new hire documentation, training coordination, and HR system setup.
- Conduct offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and benefits termination.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee experience throughout the lifecycle.
4. Employee Relations & Development
- Serve as a trusted advisor for employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee engagement.
- Promote a positive company culture and ensure equitable treatment of all employees.
5. Benefits & Payroll Administration
- Manage benefits enrollment, renewals, and employee inquiries via Rippling.com.
- Partner with finance to oversee payroll accuracy and resolve payroll-related issues.
- Recommend benefits enhancements to attract and retain employees.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-state HR management role.
- Strong working knowledge of Rippling or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
- In-depth understanding of federal and state employment laws.
- Proven experience writing employee handbooks and HR policies.
Preferred:
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
- Experience in fast-paced or growing organizations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $105,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience.
