We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Camarillo, California. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, manage month-end close activities, and ensure accurate reporting across multiple entities. This position requires strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, financial audits, and advanced Excel capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee financial reporting and review for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate and support annual audits conducted by external auditors.
• Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, including annual budgets and quarterly updates.
• Ensure proper consolidation of financial data across multiple legal entities.
• Supervise and guide accounting staff, providing training and support for cost accounting tasks.
• Utilize advanced Excel formulas and functions to streamline reporting and analysis.
• Monitor and improve inventory and cost accounting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial data.
• Manage lease accounting, fixed assets, and other specialized financial tasks using relevant software tools.• Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting and financial management.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and other accounting software such as Cognos and Lease Query.
• Strong understanding of month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with financial audits and working with external auditors.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial consolidations across multiple entities.
• Skilled in general ledger management and account reconciliation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and support accounting staff.
