Territory Development Manager – Unilever Food Solutions
Location: Remote – Atlanta, GA
Pay: $69,360 to $104,040
Bonus: Eligible
Long-Term Incentive: Eligible

Purpose of the Role:
As a Territory Development Manager, you will drive sustainable business growth via operators, chains, and trade partner engagement. You will use data and CRM tools to plan and execute sales calls, establish yourself as a valuable partner, and grow market share in your territory.
You will be accountable for delivering business targets such as Sales Growth, Reach & Penetration, Digital Engagement, and customer presentations with both operators and distributor trade partners. You are responsible for executing a multi-touchpoint contact strategy online and face‑to‑face to generate demand for Food Solutions products and deliver a great customer experience.

Demand Creation: Engage with local chain accounts and operator customers, deliver business targets for the assigned territory (turnover, reach & penetration, digital, fully profiled operators, demos, sampling).
Key Activities:
- Use data to convert business insights into activation solution selling.
- Utilize market trends to create concept solution selling.
- Gain insight and lead customers to the right solution.
- Network with key customer stakeholders to engage decision makers.
- Prepare visits with solution recommendations and manage workflow in Salesforce.
- Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual sampling, ideation, cooking demos to secure new opportunities.
- Follow up on previous calls to ensure opportunities progress to sale close.
- Secure and coordinate customer orders each month to ensure growth target.
- Meet with distributors/trade partners to expand assortment and source leads.
- Build and nurture relationships with local distributor sales reps.
- Implement contact matrix for key trade customers in a squad approach.
- Engage trade customers to gain alignment for secondary sales data.
- Implement promotions related to key seasons and events.
- Ensure timely submission & settlement of claims.
Critical Skills Required:
- Hunter mentality with strong ambition; 70% hunting vs 30% farming.
- Fast adopter of contemporary technology; proficient in MS Office, Power BI, Excel.
- Entrepreneurial; creates mutually beneficial solutions.
- Curious; continuously learns market and food trends.
- Skilled at selling premium brands with superiority selling stories.
- Bilingual (Spanish, Mandarin) is a plus.
Essential Experiences:
- CPG foodservice B2B sales experience.
- Culinary/chef selling experience.
- Network of existing foodservice operator partners.
- Experience in distributor, ingredient, or broker sales.
- CRM (Salesforce) experience.
- Operator experience.
- Market/geographical knowledge.
- Food university background (CIA, Food & Hospitality).
- Experience at multi‑national corporate company.
