Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a dedicated, skilled Pre- and Post-Operative Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background and experience in pre- and post-operative care, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities The ideal candidate should expect a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care to patients, monitoring vital signs, and recovery progress. Administer medications and perform IV infusions as prescribed. Conduct thorough patient assessments and accurately document medical records. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure continuity of care and effective communication. Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-operative care instructions, including pain management and recovery expectations. Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Skills The ideal candidate should possess a variety of skills, including but not limited to: Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Surgical Information Systems

(SIS) Experience in acute care settings, including ICU, emergency medicine, and/or trauma medicine. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Ability to perform procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, and airway management. Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental disabilities or geriatric needs. Experience in pain management techniques and acute pain management strategies. Competence in using diagnostic evaluation tools and conducting physical examinations.
