Mancan in Northfield is assisting a company in Aurora who is seeking candidates for Shipping & Receiving/Light Metal Fabricator position. This is a 1st shift position 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday and the starting pay is based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Package and ship all outgoing products per company and customer requirements, ensuring proper handling throughout the process as needed.
Properly receive all incoming shipments, distributing to departments or storage as necessary
Set-up and operate metal fabrication machines including, but not limited to, hardware insertion machine, drill, mill and sander.
Assist in the fabrication of sheet metal cases for our technical products
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Set-up and operate powder coating booth
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to use hand tools and apply labels
Experience in sheet metal fabrication preferred
General fabrication knowledge
Ability to read blueprints preferred
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Neat, organized, efficient demeanor with meticulous attention to detail
Requires frequent moving of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Valid drivers license
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment
