Job Title:
Infection Preventionist

Sitka, AK Schedule:
Full-Time, Day Shift Job Summary: Lead and support infection prevention efforts across SEARHC by monitoring HAIs, conducting education, and ensuring compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies. Collaborate with leadership to implement data-driven, evidence-based policies and training. Key Duties: Oversee infection prevention and control program and policy development
Collect and report infection data to NHSN and regulatory agencies
Conduct training and orientation for staff on IPC practices
Serve as IPC liaison and co-chair the IPC committee
Travel to SEARHC sites for assessment and education
Requirements: Bachelor’s in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
3+ years acute care/infection control experience
CIC certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
BLS (AHA) required
CPHQ preferred
