General Accountabilities Inspects buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation.

Identifies the pest and the best ways to control and remove it.

Measures the dimensions of the area needing treatment.

Estimates the cost of services.

Works both indoors and outdoors and often in tight spaces that may require crawling or kneeling.

Uses baits and set traps to remove or kill pests.

Applies pesticides in and around buildings and other structures.

Designs and carries out pest management plans.

Drives trucks equipped with power spraying equipment.

Creates barriers to prevent pests from entering a building.

Directs or assists other workers in treatment or extermination processes to eliminate or control rodents, insects, or weeds.

Drives truck equipped with power spraying equipment.

Educates clients on techniques for reducing pest problems.

Cuts or bores openings in building or surrounding concrete, access infested areas, insert nozzle, and inject pesticide.

Complies with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.

Cleans work site after completion of job.
