Position Summary

The Data Analyst supports public health initiatives by validating, analyzing, and interpreting a wide range of agency data sources to generate meaningful insights. This role produces reports, supports data-driven decision‑making across multiple divisions, and assists with integrating new datasets into existing and future analytical products. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to data quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and program teams.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience querying, transforming, cleansing, and standardizing data using SQL.
• Experience using SAS and either R or Python for data cleaning, descriptive statistics, and full analytical workflows.
• Working knowledge of epidemiological methods, study design, and data analysis, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to research, analyze, and clearly document findings for diverse audiences.

Required/Desired Skills

• Experience analyzing data and reporting relevant results in a professional non‑academic setting. Required, 1 year.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) independently in a professional setting. Required, 2 years.
• Experience using R or Python for data analysis and reporting. Required, 1 year.
• Experience using SQL to query a relational database. Required, 1 year.
• Experience using SAS for data analysis and reporting. Required, 1 year.
• Experience using Tableau for data visualization. Highly desired, 1 year.
• Experience using Azure Portal. Highly desired, 1 year.
