Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology
Job Details:
Work 3x8 hour day shifts from 0800-1700, Wednesday through Friday
No floating, on-call, or weekend requirements
Prepare and administer correct radiopharmaceutical dosages to patients
Operate imaging equipment to scan requested body areas
Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions
Provide calming and reassuring support to fearful, nervous, or patients in pain
Maintain imaging equipment and ensure safe operation
Work with adult patient population in single-room nuclear medicine department
Must have Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (NMT cert)
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ARRT N, CNMT
Skills required: GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba equipment operation
Perform HIDA scans, 3-phase studies, whole body scans, DTPA aerosol procedures
Conduct perfusion, ventilation/perfusion, and cancer survey studies
Perform I-123 uptake scans, pharmacological stress tests, and thallium stress tests
Maintain isolation precautions and start/maintain IVs
Handle storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
Epic charting experience preferred
Valid state license required at time of submission
May float to other locations if census is low on home unit
Complete orientation modules through e-learning system
