Job Description
NDi is seeking a mission-driven Data Analyst to support a large, high-visibility federal IT and analytics program at NSWCDD. The Data Analyst will play a critical role in consolidating, transforming, and validating data from multiple enterprise systems to support business intelligence, financial reporting, and operational decision-making across the Command.

- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- This position requires 5 days onsite in Dahlgren, VA. Please note that up to 40% remote work may become available but this determination will be made at a later stage.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.
- Four (4) years of professional experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
- Experience in data analysis, data knowledge acquisition, legacy data conversion specifications, and the design of data structures and product specifications.
- Experience developing data mapping artifacts, requirements definitions, and application design deliverables including:
- Logical data models
- Data interface specifications
- Online query and report specifications
- Database load and performance specifications
- Data validation specifications
- User training materials
- Qualified experience with Working Capital Fund (WCF) and General Fund accounting structures.
- Knowledge of data warehousing methods and strategies, advanced analytical techniques, data warehouse development and design, and ERP data structures.
- Experience mapping and integrating new authoritative data feeds into enterprise environments.
- Strong SQL development, data mapping, and data validation skills.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot large, complex datasets.
- Experience documenting data flows, business rules, and technical specifications.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset and strong problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, metadata management, and data governance practices.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Requirements:
- Gather and refine data requirements from mission stakeholders.
- Develop logical data models, business rules, and interface specifications.
- Document data sources, transformations, and quality checks.
Data Integration & Warehousing
- Support the design and execution of ETL/ELT processes for integrating financial, HR, ERP, and legacy system data.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, transformations, and validation routines.
- Assist in the development of data structures, load strategies, and warehouse objects.
Reporting, Documentation & Collaboration
- Support business intelligence reporting, dashboards, and ad-hoc analytics.
- Produce data dictionaries, diagrams, technical documentation, and training materials.
- Collaborate with developers, database administrators, and functional stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
