This regional medical center is a well-established 250-bed facility providing comprehensive healthcare services to the southern New Mexico community. The facility offers advanced surgical capabilities across multiple specialties in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (CRNA) - Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Details:
• Provide anesthesia services with approximately 4 patient encounters per shift
• Must be enrolled in the NM Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) - this is critical for consideration
• Perform general anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients
• Administer spinal and epidural anesthesia as required
• Handle neurosurgical cases with focus on spine procedures
• Manage complex orthopedic cases and complex vascular cases
• Provide anesthesia for obstetrical cases (preferred)
• Perform regional anesthesia and pain management techniques including post-op epidural and extremity blocks (preferred)
• Ventilation management and evaluation/management of acute volume/BP issues required
• Central and arterial line placement skills preferred
• Provider must live 90+ miles from facility
• Must be board-certified with at least one year of experience
• Active New Mexico license required
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• Weekend shifts and call coverage required
• Must be comfortable practicing independently and performing regional blocks
• Experience with ultrasound-guided regional blocks and pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Must provide case logs of blocks performed (no training will be provided)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
