Overview: The Retail General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy retail store, including financials, inventory, cannabis storage, team leadership, and store cleanliness & organization.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a professional and safe distribution process in compliance with state and local guidelines.
Ensure all stored cannabis is accounted for and the store has adequate amounts for daily operations.
Motivate team members, solve problems quickly, and take intentional steps toward goals.
Handle cash and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
Review store sales goals and KPIs regularly to improve overall operations and financial performance.
Unpack, sort, count, and label merchandise, including special handling or refrigeration.
Train and develop budtenders, shift supervisors, and assistant general managers.
Receive store and inventory supplies.
Provide exceptional customer service—always going the extra mile.
Perform other duties as required to meet department and company goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Associate Degree preferred.
3+ years of retail management experience within the cannabis industry.
Verifiable product knowledge of flower, concentrates, edibles, topicals, dosing instructions, extraction methods, and consumption methods.
Strong point‑of‑sale and industry compliance tools, specifically Dutchie and Metrc.
Must be over 21 years of age.
Applicants must consent to a background check.
Must have a valid State‑Issued ID or U.S. Passport.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have no scheduling restrictions.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift 50+ pounds.
Sit or stand for long periods of time.
