Senior Sales Manager – The Palmer House Hilton The Hilton of Chicago Cluster is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to join their dynamic team and drive sales for three iconic downtown Chicago hotels. The role focuses on groups of 101–3,999 guest rooms, meeting space, and food & beverage. Candidates may be remote sellers located in DC, NY, NJ, Boston, or PA, with willingness to travel to the Chicago market as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $110,000+ (based on experience, market segment, and location)

Short‑Term Incentive Plan: quarterly component worth 20% of bonus‑eligible earnings with uncapped payout for revenue goals of $200k USD or greater.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum of two years of hotel group sales experience with a large, 500+ room hotel and 40,000+ sq ft of convention space

Positive attitude, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset

Comfortable speaking directly to decision makers with strong critical‑thinking skills

Passion for sales and a track record of meeting or exceeding targets

Experience with Delphi FDC/Salesforce and Hilton processes and programs (advantageous)

What Will I Be Doing? A Senior Sales Manager is responsible for securing groups and conventions by building and maintaining relationships with clients, driving revenue across all hotel streams, and achieving sales goals.

Research, solicit, and generate new group leads via database research and proactive outreach.

Represent the hotel in developing new market segments and nurturing existing accounts.

Develop business strategies based on market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture maximum lead revenue.

Maximize revenue and profitability across all hotel revenue streams.

Engage Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business.

Develop and execute plans for outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.

Create and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans for designated markets.

Maintain an up‑to‑date pipeline of opportunities meeting short‑ and long‑term objectives.

Prepare business proposals, execute contracts, and coordinate customer specifications via the lead management system (Delphi FDC).

Conduct site inspections with storytelling tailored to prospective and existing customers.

Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end‑user customers and intermediaries.

Provide solutions that protect the hotel’s financial goals while strengthening relationships.

Collaborate with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Legal teams during the contracting process.
