What will I be doing? As the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will oversee commercial strategies for the hotel, connecting strategy with business processes to improve performance.
Produce an annual multi‑year commercial strategy plan in partnership with on‑property leaders and regional support.
Align hotel performance needs with Hilton’s enterprise solutions across key segments.
Direct the strategy and delivery of revenues, including group rooms, banquets, catering, and business/transient leisure rooms.
Ensure group pricing, rate quotation strategies, and business review guidelines are in place to maximize pricing and achieve positive group market share.
Support B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations, and communications activities, guiding e‑commerce teams for accurate online content.
Establish optimal business mix, review and validate revenue forecasts, and develop pricing strategies for different demand periods.
Collaborate with Executive Committee members to maximize profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets.
Develop and execute departmental expense budgets and forecasts.
Maintain detailed, real‑time knowledge of all competitor and market activity.
Execute the annual Sales Incentive Program (SIP).
Leadership
Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly Sales & Marketing optimization processes, converting outcomes into actionable business strategies.
Contribute to annual commercial cadence communications on performance drivers.
Consistently conform to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity.
Recruit and retain all sales and marketing roles.
Develop team members through ongoing performance development and career development plans.
Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and provide feedback for dotted‑line reports such as Group Sales, Business Transient Sales, Leisure Sales, Catering Sales, and Marketing.
Facilitate a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG enterprise goals.
Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations
Own performance and commercial activity reporting, including status communications and response plans.
Present commercial strategies to key partners and ownership groups, ensuring transparency and relevance.
Liaise with Hilton Worldwide Sales, regional support, and brand teams.
Build relationships with CVB, community influencers, and third‑party travel partners.
Engage customers from all sales segments and support high‑impact site visits and pre‑convention meetings.
Support sales managers’ travel into feeder markets.
What are we looking for?
Hotel Sales, Catering, or Marketing experience.
Leadership and management experience – two years minimum in a Director‑level role.
Willingness to travel.
Experience in hotel management or related industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical capabilities.
Additional qualifications and distinctions
Preferred four‑year college degree.
Experience with business strategy and planning.
Multilingual skills.
Experience with multiple brands.
