Job Purpose
Responsible for wholly managing the overall business unit operations including aftermarket sales, service, truck inventory assets, and administrative tasks. In conjunction Branch Manager will be responsible for meeting the company’s financial targets and adhering to the company’s safety policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Power Gen Director in the development of gross profit and departmental expenses and monitors performance on monthly basis
Ensures that established systems for monitoring individual departmental productivity and personnel utilization are implemented and maintained
Will be responsible for the branch’s expenses and profitability
Oversees total business unit operations to assure the company personnel practices and policies are followed
Monitors all phases of business unit operations by meeting the company’s KPI’s pertaining to vendor invoices, no‑charge billings, price sheet dates, inventory controls, facility upkeep, and any other management report
Establishes regular meeting dates whereby the aftermarket sales, Service and/or Parts teams participates in a constructive analysis of the monthly statement of earnings
Manage product support sales representatives to ensure maximum profitability is reached on preventative maintenance contracts and service work
Manage service managers to ensure the best customer service is being executed by our technicians, that everyone is working safely, and is up to date on factory certified training
Manage parts expeditor to and ensure they are keeping local inventories stocked properly, achieve maximum gross profit on parts sold, and maintain an accurate local inventory, service truck inventory, and remote business unit(s)
Assist General Service Manager in establishing business plan to meet/exceed sales targets and goals
Attend annual sales meetings and conferences, monthly safety meetings, job fairs, trade shows, and visit all remote branches quarterly (if applicable)
Work with general service manager on all month forecasting and any corporate monthly reporting needs
Qualifications
Must have 5 year(s) previous management experience
Must have working knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
High School Diploma or equivalency, Bachelor's Degree in applied discipline preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have the ability to effectively supervise, motivate, and evaluate others
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Must have organizational skills
Display strong communication skills, written and verbal
Proven experience in customer focus and relationship-building
Basic knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical systems is preferred but not mandatory
Must be able to respond to and diffuse highly stressful/emotional situations with customers
Must understand Power Generations industry and understand warranty processes
Must be able to understand the P&L and be able to answer any questions from general service manager & director
Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its objectives
Working Conditions
Typical hours of work Monday -Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Weekend hours/after normal hours as necessary
Be able to travel when required
Indoor / Outdoor work
Some temporary adjustments to starting and quitting time as workload requires
