The role is Director of Global Logistics for ORBIS, overseeing the company’s transportation network, global logistics operations, and third‑party partnerships.
About The Opportunity Responsible for the operation of the company’s transportation network, overseeing acquisition of transportation providers, ensuring alignment between partners and distribution centers, and managing all aspects of Global Logistics for ORBIS.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership to the North American Logistics team.
Provide strategic global logistics influence, development and support.
Act as International Trade Compliance Officer for ORBIS.
Support Logistics Coordinators and lead warehouse/distribution activities.
Lead implementation of ORBIS Logistics & Distribution Technology, TMS/WMS.
Analyze corporate logistics to determine cost‑effective transport solutions.
Develop and execute freight strategy, including routing, consolidation, and shipment management.
Manage freight processes: supplier selection, qualification, SOWs & RFPs, contract negotiations, vendor scorecards.
Maintain routing guide, rates, and ensure communication to all stakeholders.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives for freight and logistics.
Negotiate carrier rates and resolve disputes.
Create and enforce freight policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Performance Measures and Outcomes
Achieve ORBIS and functional strategic objectives.
Deliver project execution within budget and timeline.
Education / Certification Level Required:
Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain, Finance, Production/Operations Management, or Business Management).
Level Desired:
Master’s Degree.
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Required Experience and Qualifications
5–10 years procurement experience.
5–10 years managing international, multi‑site business logistics across all modes of transport.
Experience managing a global logistics system.
Experience measuring the effectiveness of a logistics system.
Desired Qualifications Licensed Customs Broker.

Business and financial acumen with strong analytic skills.

Advanced knowledge of transportation management systems.

Travel Requirements
Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, including overnight stays and extended work hours; travel may include weekends.
Possession of a passport.
Valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Report required.
