Network Engineer - Senior with Security Clearance
SteelGate is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing, configuring, installing enterprise network devices, and working in a data center environment.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor network systems, hardware, and software applications, including switches, routers, firewalls, data center technologies, routing protocols, and network appliances.
Implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure compliance of network components.
Evaluate and respond to network incidents, perform corrective actions, and support approved change‑management processes.
Manage data center technologies such as networking, compute, storage, automation, and security.
Collaborate with Windows, Unix, and other server administrators to design, implement, and troubleshoot data center solutions (e.g., Nexus, UCS, ACI, Fiber Channel).
Review SEIM tools, discover and resolve network events, and implement security protocols and policies.
Perform root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Plan, design, and implement local and wide‑area enterprise networks.
Work with Department of Defense teams to support project objectives.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience with Cisco networks, including design, configuration, installation, and data‑center work.
Certifications: Comptia Security+ CE (or higher) and CCNP with Enterprise Core or Data Center specialty.
DoD Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Proficiency with EIGRP, OSPF, SD‑Access, SD‑WAN, SDN technologies.
Experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst series, and routers.
Experience with SolarWinds, Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA), and Splunk.
Job Details Job Type: Full‑time Pay: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year Location:
