Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with specialized expertise in drywall project estimating to lead our commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role requires a seasoned professional who can accurately forecast costs, manage complex schedules, and drive projects to successful delivery. Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years of direct experience in drywall project estimating and management Proven track record managing commercial drywall projects valued at $500K+ Deep understanding of drywall installation methods, materials, and industry standards Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in construction estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading and construction documents Strong understanding of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements Ability to perform accurate material takeoffs and labor hour calculations Core Competencies: Comprehensive knowledge of drywall systems including metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and specialty finishes Experience managing subcontractor relationships and vendor negotiations Strong financial acumen including cost control and budget management Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with clients, architects, and project teams Primary Responsibilities
Develop detailed cost estimates for drywall scope including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead Review project plans and specifications to identify scope, potential issues, and value engineering opportunities Lead preconstruction meetings and coordinate with general contractors and design teams Manage project schedules, ensuring timely procurement and coordinating with other trades Oversee project execution, quality control, and adherence to safety standards Track project costs, manage change orders, and maintain profitability targets Mentor junior estimators and project coordinators Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field LEED certification or experience with sustainable building practices Experience with union labor environments Familiarity with design-build or IPD project delivery methods Compensation:
