Job Description Director of Behavioral Health Policy Overview: The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is seeking a qualified public health professional to oversee behavioral health policy coordination within Central Administration, located in Oklahoma City. This position will coordinate the development and oversight of SoonerCare/Medicaid policy in partnership with the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, as well as the Department’s regulatory rules for publicly funded behavioral health services. The role provides leadership and strategic guidance to promote policies that improve the efficient delivery of quality behavioral health services to beneficiaries, providers, and staff. The position will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of policy changes and alignment with agency goals and state regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional business or public administration experience, including two years in a supervisory or administrative capacity;
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration for each year of the required education. Note: No substitution will be allowed for the required professional experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
