Job title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Newark, NJ
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to design, manage, and support our hybrid environment (on-premises, private, and public cloud – primarily Azure and AWS). You will handle architecture, migrations, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and automation while participating in a 24x7 on‑call rotation. Key Responsibilities
Design, administer, and monitor physical and cloud‑based infrastructure (servers, storage, data centers). Lead or support on‑premises to cloud migrations. Install, patch, tune, and optimize Windows and Linux servers. Manage backup/recovery and design/implement disaster recovery plans. Automate tasks using scripting and tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub. Provide real‑time support, capacity planning, and problem resolution. Mentor junior admins and coordinate with third‑party vendors. Participate in project planning and impact analysis for upgrades. Required Experience (6+ years each)
Planning and executing on‑premises to cloud migrations Azure and AWS (hands‑on administration) Linux server installation and management Microsoft stack: Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Windows Servers VMware vSphere DevOps tools: GitHub, Terraform, Ansible Other Key Technologies
AWS SysOps, Dell hardware, Rubrik backup, SolarWinds monitoring, networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering (or +3 years extra experience in lieu of degree) 5+ years of directly related infrastructure experience Preferred
Azure or AWS certifications Microsoft certifications Project management experience Cloud migration projects Qualifications: Additional Information
