Patient Representative / Front Desk Receptionist

to join our Church Avenue office in Brooklyn, NY.

Position Overview A Patient Representative/Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing patient‑centered care and facilitating access to services in a pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient manner. The staff member is the first point of contact for patients, assists with registration and appointment scheduling, and supports the medical team in delivering quality care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with daily reception activities and initiate all necessary patient services.

Communicate effectively with team members and patients regarding all aspects of service.

Handle telephone and mail contact with patients.

Schedule appointments, collect fees, and explain services and charges.

Distribute educational materials, including satisfaction cards and patient rights information.

Verify insurance coverage and calculate fees based on the sliding‑scale fee schedule.

Qualifications Minimum Education Requirement: High School diploma or GED.

Minimum Work‑Related Experience: 2–4 years in a front‑desk or customer‑service environment.

Required Specialized Skills & Knowledge: Bilingual in both English and Spanish (oral and written).

Job Type: Full Time.

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
