Scope of Work:
The Engineering Technical Coordinator will support the awarded projects assisting in project management, procurement, expediting and overall project assistance to the Project Engineer. This position also assumes the role of liaison between Quality Control, Engineering, Fabrication, Sales and Shop personnel.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Expedite/Monitor vendor's production progress, material delivery, vendor document submission in compliance with project specification and delivery schedule
Generate and update customer delivery schedules
Upload drawings, technical data, vendor documentation into customer portal
Compile and submit vendor, shop quality documentation to Project Engineer
Facilitate group meetings
Monitor project progress and update QC traveler
Reports Quality issues in accordance with WPI's nonconformance procedure(s)
Support the sales force at inquiry, award, and subsequent meetings with customers and serve as a technical liaison when needed
Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to create reports
Comprehensive computer skills - Manufacturer's performance programs
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook
Possess and maintain the following skills: Excellent attention to detail, good problem solving skills, strong organizational skills, collaborating skills, interpersonal skills, and logical reasoning skills
Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic team environment
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Strong computer skills
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Some occasional extended hours may be required.
Sitting; occasional bending or kneeling; lift and carry a maximum 15 Lbs., reach overhead for lightweight items.
Office work.
