M&A Talent Partners has been retained by a rapidly expanding, multi state home and community based services (HCBS) platform to identify a Director of Business Development (M&A) to help lead its inorganic growth strategy through acquisitions, affiliations, and strategic partnerships.
This organization delivers high quality, person centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, medically fragile populations, and individuals requiring long term services and supports across multiple states.
The platform is
well capitalized and structurally built to execute acquisitions , with committed financial backing, experienced executive leadership, and the operational infrastructure required to scale responsibly. This is not a speculative build. This is an execution focused growth mandate.
This role reports directly to the CEO. Remote is acceptable, with travel as needed across priority geographies. Preference for individuals located or willing to relocate to the Nashville, TN region (not required).
About the Role
The Director of Business Development will lead sourcing and execution of acquisitions and partnerships from initial outreach through close and integration. This individual will serve as a primary external representative of the platform to founder owned agencies and will work closely with executive leadership, operations, finance, clinical, and compliance teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
This is a true builder role with visibility, ownership, and direct impact on platform growth.
Originate and execute acquisitions, affiliations, and aqui novo partnerships
Build and maintain direct relationships with founders, operators, payers, and intermediaries
Lead negotiation of LOIs, purchase agreements, and transaction documentation
Develop market maps, target lists, and sourcing strategies across priority regions
Perform valuation, modeling, financial review, and deal structuring
Coordinate cross functional diligence across operations, clinical, HR, finance, compliance, and IT
Support integration planning and post close execution
Prepare investment memos, deal summaries, and board level materials
Implement and manage the M&A related CRM process
5 to 8 plus years of experience in Business Development in an M&A environment (required)
Required experience within healthcare services or multi site provider organizations (required)
Demonstrated sourcing capability and comfort engaging founders directly
Proven ability to independently lead transactions end to end
Strong financial acumen including valuation and deal structuring
Entrepreneurial, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast growth environment
Clear communicator across executive, operational, and clinical stakeholders.
Experience within HCBS, I DD, or adjacent post acute or behavioral healthcare is strongly preferred.
The role offers a
strong base salary with uncapped performance based bonus potential , aligned directly to deal execution and platform growth. This structure is designed to reward sustained origination and execution rather than one off transactions.
