Job Summary/Description The #1 CBS affiliate in Florida's capital city has a rare opening for an anchor/MMJ to join the team that leads the best news coverage in the region. The right candidate is a seasoned newsroom leader, an eager coach and mentor, a talented storyteller, and possesses a heart for community service projects. The ideal candidate will embrace a digital-first mindset and be able to contribute content through our streaming desk.

Duties/Responsibilities

Anchors our traditional broadcasts and our digital streaming newscasts

Works with co-anchors and producers to ensure story selection and quality of broadcast are clean, compelling, and consistent

Demonstrates ability to connect with viewers and the community both on and off the desk

Generates story ideas

Can shoot, write, and edit stories for broadcast and digital

Contributes content to digital platforms

Build local contacts and relationships

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum 2 years anchoring and reporting in a commercial newsroom

Non-linear editing experience

Degree in journalism

A valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurability
