About the Role As the Nurse Manager of Surgical Services, you will oversee the full scope of perioperative operations—including operating rooms, sterile processing, anesthesia support, and perioperative nursing teams. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership

Develop staffing plans based on surgical volume, acuity, and specialty needs (including cardiovascular, spine, and hybrid ORs).
Support ongoing training, professional development, and competency validation for Surgical Services staff.
Patient Care Oversight
Ensure safe, high‑quality, age‑appropriate surgical care delivered in compliance with professional standards.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to support optimal perioperative outcomes.
Address escalated patient/family concerns with professionalism and clarity.
Administrative & Quality Leadership
Manage Surgical Services budget, staffing models, and productivity targets.
Lead perioperative quality initiatives, performance improvement, and patient satisfaction programs.
Monitor quality metrics, regulatory readiness, clinical documentation, and process improvement efforts.

Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant acute care clinical experience
Minimum 3+ years of Recent (Within the last year) Acute Care Leadership Experience
in Surgical Services (Manager) (Required)
BSN Required
Current Registered Nurse License
in the State of Texas or Multistate Compact License Compact license holders must obtain a Texas license within
60 days of hire (Required)
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
(Required)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience circulating or scrubbing in the OR preferred.
CNOR certification preferred (or ability to obtain within one year).
Experience in cardiovascular, spine, or hybrid OR environments strongly valued.
Strong knowledge of OR workflow, staffing models, surgical scheduling, and perioperative financial management.
