Residential Field Energy Specialist Leidos is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Residential Field Energy Specialist. This position will be based out of a home office, requiring travel across the Ameren Illinois service territory and occasional visits to Peoria or Collinsville offices.

Location: Springfield or Decatur, IL.

Responsibilities

Maintain and nurture the relationship with our Program Ally network while providing oversight and guidance for project flow to meet production goals.

Collaborate with peers, bringing innovative ideas to internal planning.

Navigate and manage Program Ally, utility customer, and utility client relations.

Present program goals and opportunities, develop and facilitate business relationships, and explain technical issues to Program Allies, customers, and the client.

Meet goals for development of new and existing Program Allies.

Manage Program Ally system records (logged calls, documentation, certifications, agreements).

Keep Program Allies aware of current program requirements, incentives, and training opportunities.

Be capable of entering residential attics, basements, and crawl spaces; climbing ladders; interacting with homeowners while performing training, technical support, home energy assessments, and quality control inspections.

Learn, implement, and maintain knowledge of safe job‑site practices, program guidelines, incentives, policies, procedures, and requirements.

Provide timely reporting of progress to the Program Manager through weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports that track and analyze progress toward individual and program goals.

Participate in ongoing training and education to keep staff current on latest building science techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with up to two years of relevant experience (or more experience in lieu of a degree).

Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Excellent customer‑relations skills, understanding concerns and suggesting solutions.

Highly organized, reliable, conscientious, and capable of managing resources and schedules to meet multiple deadlines in a home‑office environment.

Capable of managing and tracking multiple concurrent, complex tasks.

Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Able to store a small amount of program testing equipment in a conditioned environment.

Must have current Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification as a Building Analyst – Technician and Professional, or be able to obtain it within six months of hire date.

Desired Additional Experience

Salesforce CRM experience.

Experience in energy efficiency or similar technologies.

Basic knowledge of integrated building science.

Previous experience in remodel construction and/or residential HVAC.

Benefits and Compensation Pay Range: $50,700.00 - $91,650.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only.
