**Job Summary:**In keeping with Shields Health Care commitment to excellence, the x-ray technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.
This is a per diem opportunity across multiple sites - Brighton, MA, Dartmouth, MA, and Brockton, MA.**Job Description:****What you will do*** Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform xrays in accordance to center’s protocol.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** Must be certified in CPR* Must be MA State licensed* A minimum of 3 months of prior xray experience is required.* Excellent interpersonal skills are required.* Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position.
