Responsibilities
Develop embedded firmware for Power Instruments products including Universal Powerline Carrier, Disturbance Recorders, and High Accuracy Revenue Meters
Design and implement firmware to meet operating specifications and performance standards
Conduct regression testing and develop automated test procedures
Collaborate with Test Engineers to define and validate test specifications
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Work with Product Managers to analyze customer requirements, assess feasibility, and develop specifications and schedules to deliver required features
Perform internal type testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and timing requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering
10+ years of embedded systems development experience
Strong C/C++ programming skills
Digital signal processing and filter design experience
Experience with Linux and real‑time operating systems (RTOS)
Device driver development and hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB)
Communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT)
Version control tools (SVN, Perforce, etc.) and development environments (GCC, Eclipse)
3+ years of product architecture for high‑speed data acquisition and processing
Coordinating development activities and providing technical leadership
