McCarter & English, LLP is seeking a chemistry patent associate or patent agent with an advanced degree in chemistry for any of its offices. Candidates should have 2-10 years of experience as a patent attorney or patent agent. Candidates must possess superior academic credentials and 2-6 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting chemistry patent applications. The salary range for this position is $185,000 – $220,000 annually, depending on experience.
In addition to admission to at least one State bar, candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D., possess excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills and have experience in drafting and prosecuting chemistry patent applications.
