Eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.

Duties Medical Director- Primary Care Binghamton CBOC

The Medical Director of the Primary Care Program at the Binghamton CBOC provides administrative, programmatic, and clinical leadership for primary care services at the Binghamton location to ensure achievement of VHA clinical and education goals.

Roles

Dual clinical (75%) and administrative role (25%).

Reports to the Associate Chief of Staff for Primary Care ICC at the Syracuse VA Medical Center under the Primary Care Line.

Board-certified physician with advanced clinical experience, demonstrated administrative and leadership skills, and meets the requirements for a faculty appointment at the Syracuse VAMC academic affiliate, Upstate Medical University.

Demonstrated commitment to an interdisciplinary approach to care delivery.

Documented ability to coordinate a broad continuum of programs.

Management experience with strong administrative and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated skills in providing clinical interface with other disciplines represented at the Binghamton CBOC and other key stakeholders.

Work Schedule

FT Monday–Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm or as determined by the needs of the service.

50–55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5‑day paid absence for CME).

1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.

Requirements Licensure

1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.

Qualifications
