– Studios Without Walls (SWW), a longstanding artist collective dedicated to public art, invites sculptors to submit proposals for its 27th annual exhibition, “Urban Symphony.” The exhibition will feature outdoor sculpture along the scenic Riverway Park in Brookline, MA, running from
May 23 to September 7, 2025 .
Theme and Eligibility This year’s theme, “Urban Symphony,” encourages artists to create sculptures that celebrate the beauty and complexity of city life, focusing on the sounds, textures, and rhythms of the built environment. All artists are welcome to apply, but proposals must be site‑specific and suitable for a diverse audience. Interactive elements, light, sound, and movement are encouraged.
Exhibition Highlights
Honorariums of $200+ (amount varies annually) per sculpture
Self‑guided and artist‑led tours engage visitors of all ages.
An art treasure hunt will be available, encouraging art exploration.
Opening reception with artist programs on
May 30, 2026, 2‑4pm
with artist‑led programs.
How to Apply The application period opens on October 1, 2025, and closes on January 11, 2026. A $35 application fee is required per sculpture.
