About being our Project and Accounting Specialist This full‑time position as our

Project and Accounting Specialist

will utilize your skills and expertise coordinating with our corporate office to provide our engineering, survey and construction management teams with billing, timesheet processing, accounts payable and other accounting‑related support. This essential person would be working with multiple Project Managers at a time and you will collaborate closely with our project teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, focusing heavily on processing a high volume of project billing. This position is perfect for an analytical mind that thrives in cost accounting and enjoys the rhythm of weekly routines.

Psomas has a beautiful dog‑friendly office located on the Seattle waterfront, offering stunning views of Puget Sound. Conveniently situated next to the Sculpture Park and within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. Employees enjoy free parking, a fully stocked kitchen, and complimentary access to an on‑site gym. This position is available exclusively at the Seattle office and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.

Responsibility Highlights for our Project and Accounting Specialist

Complete monthly project billing in compliance with client and contract specifications, accurately and in a timely manner

Effectively communicate with Project Managers regarding billings, contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services

Set up new projects using accounting software according to contract, client, and project manager direction

Facilitate expense and credit card reporting, ensuring timely and accurate coding and processing

Coordinate the processing and coding of accounts payable

Interact with clients to assist in resolving accounting related issues

Serve as a resource for staff with accounting‑related issues or questions for the region

Minimum Qualifications to be our Project and Accounting Specialist

Minimum of 5 years prior general accounting

High school diploma or GED

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint) with intermediate proficiency in Excel

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with ability to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external clients both in an office atmosphere and virtually

Highly organized, detail oriented and able to follow through and complete assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications for our Project and Accounting Specialist

Prior experience within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry

Knowledge and experience with Deltek Vision accounting software

A competitive salary! The generally expected range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hour depending on experience
