Warehouse Manager - New Jersey

Halco Lighting Technologies, one of the fastest growing lighting companies in the US, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for its new facility in New Jersey. This manager will be responsible for the daily operations for receipt and put away of finished goods, finished goods retrieval, mixed pallet makeup, truck loading/unloading processes, and inventory control. While working closely with reporting associates to manage inventories, meet customer fulfillment requirements, and manage sales variability in an effective manner, the position duties will include but not be limited to:
Directing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse to include receipt and put away of finished goods, finished goods retrieval, mixed pallet makeup, and truck loading/unloading processes, and inventory control.
Developing and implementing a flexible labor plan and allocating appropriate resources by position by day—including permanent, temporary, and material handling equipment—to handle high sales variability cost effectively.
Training warehouse employees, communicating, and fostering an environment of teamwork and individual accountability; engaging the employees in daily communication and soliciting feedback.
Working with the building management company on any and all building issues.
Supporting and overseeing efforts to maintain the security and integrity of the inventory.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of five years’ warehouse management experience—start‑up experience a plus.
Certified to operate powered materials‑handling equipment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work standing for extended time periods up to and including the entire work shift.
Advanced written and communication skills.
Experience with Lean concepts and deployment preferred.
Experience managing and pricing facility supplies.
