Overview Texas Oncology San Antonio is looking for an

Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

to join our team! This full‑time position is located at our TXO Medical Center, 5206 Research Dr., San Antonio, Tx 78240. The APP will support the Medical Oncology team.

Responsibilities

Direct patient care and management in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings, including documentation of visits, patient and family education, order and review of diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, symptom management, counseling, and support.

Collaborate interdependently with physicians and the broader care team.

Use Electronic Health Records (EHR) proficiently and complete documentation per Texas Oncology policy.

Build collaborative relationships across the organization and with the local medical community.

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as appropriate.

Participate in tumor boards, institutional trainings, and meetings as required.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

Nurse Practitioner Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school and completion of a nurse‑practitioner program. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing. Current BLS/CPR certification.

Physician Assistant Accredited physician‑assistant program, current NCCPA certification, state license, and BLS/CPR certification.

Clinical Nurse Specialist MSN with a clinical nurse‑specialist program, state license as a clinical nurse specialist, and BLS/CPR certification.

Experience levels:

Level 1: 0–3 years

Level 2: 3–5 years

Level Sr: 6+ years

Physical Demands Requires full range of motion, handling and lifting patients and items up to 40 lb, standing and walking for extended periods, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work Environment Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other clinical conditions common to oncology/hematology clinics.
