Physician Assistant – Critical Care (Per Diem)
Summary
Westchester Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). This strictly inpatient, nonoperative critical care role involves working with a team to manage diverse trauma and surgical patients.
Responsibilities
Perform medical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and consultations for diverse surgical critical care patients.
Respond to, manage, and deliver direct patient care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Gain competency in procedures including central line placement/removal, chest tube insertion/removal, and arterial line placement.
Qualifications
Board certified as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or able to obtain a New York license.
Minimum of 2 years of Critical Care experience (new graduates considered).
Excellent communication‑skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
Location & Compensation Valhalla, NY (Westchester Medical Center). Salary range: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per annum (per diem).
