The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and provide individualized instruction in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, and other Science Subjects.* Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutoring to high school students* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style and goals* Review and explain scientific concepts, lab work, and problem-solving techniques* Help students prepare for classroom exams, standardized tests (e.g., SAT, ACT, AP), and school projects* Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, or academic coordinators* Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment* Facilitate Liberty Partnerships Program Assessments and other LPP tasks as needed* Other duties as assigned**Qualifications*** High School Degree* Some College Preferred* Experience working with students preferred* Experience with one of the Science-related fields (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, etc.).* Prior experience teaching or tutoring high school students preferred* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills* Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way* Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed**Preferred skills:*** Experience with New York City High School Science curricula* Familiarity with virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)Pay Range:$17.00 - $17.00/hour**RFCUNY Benefits****Equal Employment Opportunity Statement**
