Summary This position will focus on constructively developing and communicating key company positions across government agencies, industry organizations and related stakeholders while also engaging in strategies in support of the company’s global business interests. It will also support the company’s government relations communication strategy that focuses on both internal and external communications to create a coherent message across platforms.
The Company’s government relations and policy programs seek to sustain a dialogue with government authorities that promotes sound public policies and addresses emerging regulatory, policy and legislative issues. The Company is committed to playing an active and constructive role in the ongoing development of public policies, the high technology community, energy and transportation systems, and society at large.
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum 5-7 years of public policy and/or government affairs experience.
Build relationships with governors’ and mayor offices in working with regional representatives required.
Maintain relations with state legislature and authorities, county and city governments about business development.
Communicate with Managers of Hitachi group companies in prioritized states.
Host the Hitachi Day event in Tier 1 state.
Support BU’s to grow businesses.
