What We Do Typically found in a branch/office setting where the assistant is providing support to the Escrow department by assisting with customer service and administrative duties related to escrow closings. May provide general support for a team, or partner with an escrow officer. Primarily focused on residential transactions. If the role is primarily supporting commercial transactions, please refer to the Commercial Escrow Assistant job family. If the role exists in a centralized processing unit or department designed to support multiple offices or locations and is focused on high-volume paperwork processing, please refer to the Escrow Support Processor Job family.
Job Level Summary Employee gains mastery of skills as more experience is acquired regarding various tasks. Provides a wide range of support to Escrow Officers. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Demonstrates excellent judgment with work typically performed under general supervision. May be viewed as subject matter expert on a variety of tasks.
How You’ll Contribute
Performs wide range of administrative support duties requiring broad experience, skill and knowledge of organization and escrow policies and practices. Works independently to resolve a wide range of inquiries.
Prepares documents for a wide range of transactions, such as closing statements, settlement statements, wraps, assignments, and mobile homes.
Creates and maintains files, records, reports; monitors and tracks workflow.
Responds to inquiries and gathers information to resolve issues.
Communicates information to responsible parties.
May train / provide guidance to less experienced team members.
May assist Escrow Offices with business development and customer service.
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
High School diploma or equivalent
4+ years of directly related experience
Proficiency in more complicated residential transactions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Broad experience with escrow transactions
Strong customer service skills
Problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of MS Office suite
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Able to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times
Strong detail orientation
Ability to analyze, compare, interpret and process data
Strong knowledge of company and/or client operating systems
